 Carved transfer from photo from web search of Lord of the Rings shots. Smeagol really covets the blue now!
Back image is a carving on the back of the pumpkin, lit inside with a blue light bulb and a divider between that and the candle.
I'm not really into LOTR but enjoyed the movies and this very animated character. I chose this pose because it showes the character's struggle - if you look at left half only, he looks evil and scheeming. The right half looks good and caring.
Most of us can relate to divided interests. - To focus on being a better photographer, but to covet that blue ribbon!

I am a big Lord of The Rings fan. Loved your interpretation. The only thing that you could do is apply a noise reduction filter because the shadow in the background has a lot of distracting spots.
