Smoke colors are all natural. Slight lightening of fuselage, small amount of sharp, very small amount of burn on wings emblems. Really not too much to change in this capture.

Woo Hooo, Don!! What a great score in such a tough challenge! This one deserves to be in the top 10 imo, but a 6.588 is nothing to complain about in THIS challenge! GREAT JOB!!!

Adore the "battlefield" background light and your plane's edge lighting, along iwth your restrained post processing work.

I can't put my finger on it...there is something quite magical about this image...perhaps it is the light?...or is it the nostalgic warm tone?...I think it doesn't matter really, the image makes me want to create a spectacular and daring story to go along with it...a super fine image.

Wonderful timeing on this capture of a bi-plane in flight. The angle shows us the wonderful details of the paint job on the wings - the blue circle with the white star and red center. The sepia tone of the background/sky is a nice touch for it adds a feel of nostaligia by giving us the feeling that we are looking at a time that has long passed.

This is a wonderful biplane image...is it a Stearman? This composition has depth and interesting lighting effects on the plane itself as well as the sky and smoke..

I just love this picture. Good composition, like the darker clouds...my only wish would be that the colors on the plane stand out a little more.

I like everything about the image. The composition, the stop action, the overall tonality of it. Plus I really like the title. The light skimming off of the wings with the smoke trailing past really is well done here.
