Location: Montclair, NJ

I thought of this almost immediately after the challenge was announced. The relatives we were visiting for Thanksgiving have nice hardwood floors, so I brought some props along. I arranged the clothes on the floor and parked my three year old son in the doorway (he was just amazing at holding the pose). I spent about 5 minutes on the setup and took 8 shots. If only they were all this easy!

Processing was VERY minimal. Crop, clone out a few spots on the door and floor, and resize for web. That's it!

Mine all are. Is that why I average 5.6 & you average 6.3?

Note: for those that might think I'm not happy for Shannon, not true. It's just that in a thread this week I said, "I'll be happy if I beat you." And he had to beat me. Bummer. :( :(

But the congratulations are sincere.

I pick this one for my favorite. Lots of lingerie shots, but you put a great twist on it. I like the low angle of the shot and the lighting coming through the door.

Not sure how this could be tied into being an adult since this is something that a child would most likely do. However, your photo is nicely composed and well thought out and I would hate to give you a low score. It still gets a 5 from me eventhough I am at a loss as to how this ties into the them of the challenge.

I remember almost doing that as a kid....almost had the door slammed on my hand....OOPS! Oh well...it happens. LOL! Nice idea and shot.

12/03/2005 12:50:42 PM
Aha! I like this for 2 reasons...
1 There's more clothes in this photo than in every other one done with the same idea...Most others I believe only include a bra/panties and that's it. This one has jeans, shoes and all the other stuff people wear!
2. There's an added element of complexity with the kid opening up the door.
Definitely a better thought out photo.
