 The timing to capture that dramatic sky over the Statue of Lib was good and unexpected. The cargo cranes in background and tugboat hopefully added an industrial feeling to this. Some cropping, contrasts and tone adjustments.

The photo really makes an impact when combined with the title - it makes you think about the consequences of our actions and whether they are worth it.

Love the scenery in this shot. The silhouettes of all the figures (the boats, the shipyard in the background, the Statue of Liberty) gives this photo a timeless quality - you cannot quite identify when the shot was taken 20's, 30's, 40's ---The senna coloring gives it an "aged look" which also plays into a feel of nostalgia. Although I wonder if B&W would have been better to give it a feel of watching one of those old B&W classic movies.

This is an amazing pic. The only thing that would have scored higher is the statue. More definition would have rated higher. Great job though.
