Thank you to everyone that helped make this my first ribbon and personal best. When I summitted it I wasn't figuring it would do as well as it did, so this makes it even better. Now I just have to get 1st or 2nd place and a 7.0 or better.

the problem IS its flawlessness

This is a flawless shot, and yes I would hang this in my kitchen.

who in god's name would buy a sleek print of some forks? would they hang it in their silvery metallic kitchen? would they give it to their robo-servants as XMAS gifts?

"Uhhh yeah I bought a nice picture of some forks. I REALLY LIKE FORKS. They remind me of the simple pleasures of life. They are of such magnificent color and form. They remind me of man's geniusness, his amazing ability to make useful tools. Oh jeez, someone is calling me on my cellophone. Durrr. TTYL OMG LOL TTFN."

by the way, nice ZING seriocomic.

I'm going to go eat with my hands now.

Really nice arrangement. Almost Escher-esque even though it's all forks. Like the black underneath the forks (nice and unobtrusive), would just wish for even less reflections in the top right (not that I managed to get rid of the reflections in my shot as much as I initially wanted to). I think you'll do well with this one.

I like the symmetry. The only thing I might change is increasing the brightness/contrast just a bit.
