I like the shot, (my cat has the same patterning) but i would tone down the sharpness just a hair.

Really great shot here, the perspective and composition are everything here really. I love the black in there fur aswell, it adds a darkness to the whole thing, along with the thick border which i normally don't like but feel it works well in this one.
Nice work.

Very nice shot. I love the choice of colors and the way they put the cat in its place as a hunter. (camo-effect). The cats gaze is also amazing, and really adds to this hunter by nature theme that i was talking about.

Gace you an 8, I loved the picture and the colors, the border I thought was a little distracting

There were too many entries to leave a LOT of comments. I voted yours an 8. Technicals are all there, it fit the challenge well. Not too terribly fond of the frame though.

Beautiful tones, so rustic and "real"...I really like the composition too...well done.

Was this shallow DOF or Gaussian Blur?

more of a frame than I like, but super pic of that cat and wonderful colors. 9

Looks unnaturally blurred around the cats face, and I don't know that I would have chosen to add any blur to the frame either. I do like the cats intent stare and colorings... matches well with the background.

4 - Good potential. Criticism; if there was more cat, less frame and possibly even more height (to allow for more cat & impact at this size), make this even better in my opinion. More whiskers too would likely have given this something extra, and more 'balance' too, likely.
