Thanks to all who commented.
No appendages were hurt in the making of this photo.
Had fun taking the shot & reading the subsequent one-liners.
Again, Thanks.

Where's the tip. IN the soup I guess :). At least it was your left hand. I'm running out of time to vote this challenge so this is my highest scoring photo. Deserving 10 and good luck. 8:41 p.m.

edit: Out of time, but for the record, I predict ribbon.

Clever idea. Probably wouldnt be blood on top of the finder like that, though ;)

Wow, and you still had the presence of mind to grab your camera - LOL.

This is one of the more original ideas here, well done.

Cleverly "executed" photo. Hmmm...I wonder where the other part of the finger went to? 8

Nice idea. Seems a little too contrived however.

a bit more of blood would have made it more perfect.

except for a lot more blood, I can see no flaws in this capture. Great job

Funny photo, good choice of colors, good lighting... the "blood" looks a little fake though... perhaps more "blood" on the other side of the knife to give a feeling of a severed finger?

Only eat the green ones!!!Must press on to be a world-class chef! Some nicks & cuts are to be expected along the way. :)
Visually believable, but logically far-fetched! Obviously posed because the photo is too crisp & clear, no camera shake that goes along with anxiety associated with the loss of an appendage, and no splatter marks on the lens.
