Nice!! Good picture, David. I like the light background. You'll have to work on keeping those students in line ...

Didn't get a chance to comment during the challenge, but I thought this was wonderful, not only for the fabulous tones and detail (you can see every strand of their hair, even...) but also for the feelings it provokes. Really took me back to those old days of high school. :) I gave it a 9. Fabulous.

Seriously, though, this is a fantastic shot. Composition, focus, everything is wonderful. A 10 in my book.

Ah, the secrets of teenagers... Takes me back a few years! I think you've captured the spirit and I like the expressions.

Very striking image, nice skin tones, good detail. Black and white works well here, the white background is very effective. Their expressions really heighten the mild paranoia!

Very focused and detailed, well done. But what the heck is she saying??? - 10.

Meets the challenge? Yes
Technical : I really like how one of your subjects is engaging the camera. It makes me feel like we shouldn't be listening to the conversation, hence the need for whispering. Focus, lighting, composition good.
Artistic/Creative : I like the choice of b&W. I think it serves as a good contrast to the subject matter of gossip. Gossip is not very black & white at all, it is very subjective.

I like this photo - it's compositionally strong, attractive, and raises questions. I think I'd have liked it better with a more neutral title, though - it leads the viewer, and I can think of several other questions than just the one given. A lovely photo either way, though.

beautiful and interesting interpretation of the
theme.
great job on this !

Well captured concept - eye contact from listener really supports the theme as suggested by your title.
Contrast is set too high for my preference - I am not keen on the way the facial highlights have blown out to white.

Oh yeah this is a great shot. What would be even better is have the girl on the left with her eyes open a little wider with an "OHHHH" kind of expression with her mouth. Great job! 9!!

I like it!
+ catch light in the eyes
+ I cannot explain why, but the composition seems natural and works very well.
I look foward to seeing more of you images once the voting is done.

good thinking. Her face doesn't quite show it though (on the left)

I think this would have worked even more if the person whispering was also looking at the camera. I think that would have added even more paranoia. There are a few really oversaturated bits in the whites, but overall, looking very good :)
