Went to a friends who had a few kittens left from the litter. I had just gotten my new camera so I started taking shots. I liked the expression on her fact here, and the way the grass outside just happened to line up with her ear to show the edge. Cropped it down a bit and played with the brightness a tad.

After a second look, the details in the face are quite nice, especially the eyes. I feel the wide angle takes away from them. With all that detail, I bet you could have cropped down to just around the eyes and mouth and would have gotten alot more second looks.

Cute kitty! The green thing by it's ear is a distraction. The lighting is pretty good. The capture of it's expression is priceless!

A touch sharper may be better. Seems a bit off focus or sof focus.

Aaahhh... what a sweet kitty. Great job. I can never get the eyes to come out right in animal shots.

The cat doesn't really match the title ... but I can imagine he would love to play.

This so looks like a kitten we had called, "Willow"... Cute, adorable, sweet, cuddly, soft and just purr-fect.....Lovely capture.

Attractive soft image but background lacks planning and is distracting. It's not a major element so you should be able to clone it out.

The kitten is darling, but a tad overexposed. The background, unfortunately, is definitely problematic.

Nice close up. Seems a little low contrast, but that's probably because the whites are so bright. The edge on the upper right bothers me, maybe at a little higher angle, that could have been avoided. I like that cat's look though, he/she has deep eyes.

ay-yi-yi--that's a rather in-you-face shot! nice enough, but, for me, it's more of a snapshot than a photograph. but hey, that's just my opinion; as long as you love it, that's what matters.

Aww such a cute shot! I like the backlighting effect around the fur.

Backlighting works very well and great looking cat. I would have cloned the dark part of the background into the top right corner and sharpened a touch more. 8

Reasonable portrait but stiff expression and blown highlights don't help you much I feel. 4/10

Ahhh yes, someone ALWAYS has to get their cat into a challenge!! However, there aren't enough contrasting colors to make this picture great. It's rather flat. Nothing catches the eye and sucks me in. The background behind the ears is distracting. 3
