Great street photography. I love the exposure you used. The way you darkened the houses behind and the sky really eliminates them as potential distractions. Great job.

Haha, very nice, the best street candid shot I have seen in a while, you get my first 10 in the challenge and I am about done voting on half of them. Went straight for my favorites :) Oh, just wanted to add that I love the fact that you didnĀ“t remove the hair that hangs from his left ear and the one on his middle nose, just add detail to the shot and realism to the character.

good contendor, excellent light, b&w dead on, power lines could be more out of focus so at present edit they are distracting, great texture, ok comp, dof ok, overall a good pix

Nice DOF that focuses the viewer on the subject, crisp focus on the subject. The spots and haze on the glasses is very distracting, IMO, and hides the eyes from the viewer. Otherwise well done

Bumping this up. Seems like it has an interesting story behind it. : ) So despite the cropped off head and one half of his face is in shadow, I find that these imperfections make part of the whole "story", along with his funny glasses and the state they're in. The choice of b&w fits in perfectly. This is a photo that grows on you, at least in my case. Good luck!

Like I said, this photo grows on you. Bumping up again - 10!

this picture is amazing. i really like the fact that the eyes a hidden behind his scratched glasses. im usually opposed to not seeing the eyes but it seems in character here. also his clothing really adds to his character as does the background. great job!!

Very good B&W portrait. Not the usual you see on DPC and in my opinion this is way better than most. Nice work. Well done with the compostion, details and tonality.

Some of the best entries to this challenge are people and your photo stands out from the pack. This guy has one heckuva lot of character and personality and you've captured it with this shot. Wonderful crop too. Chopping his hat and forehead really draws my eyes back again and again to this delightfully thick and scratched glasses. There's just enough eye visible to assure me that his smile is genuine and pleased. A wonderful find!
