Wow! Thanks everyone! I'm thrilled to get my first ribbon with a picture of my father! He's a pretty goofy-looking guy, but a super-intelligent physics prof. Watch for his name when his fusion confinement theory is published at the end of the summer!

That is a real Bailey's style! I had a look in the book and he really takes such masterpieces! Please tell me where you found a guy like that? He is so cool! 10!

Wild!

Wonderful, hilarious (insane?) capture/expression. The perspective (in the face!) would not be my personal preference, since it may suggest 'complicity' on part of the photographer :-D.

I'm left curious about any unrevealed gestures and/or body language that may have prompted this shot in the first place.
Given the 'acute' sense the subject communicates, I wonder if the 'light' background sets the appropiate mood. The way it is rendered here, we're more 'hilariously' afflicted than frightened, which would, IMO, have increased the impact. > 6

I think this is the first picture on DPC that has EVER made me laugh out loud. An absolute 10!!! I think the crop is a little heavy on the right but that's okay. Great Job!

Very striking image, great eyes! The background is very effective. Focus is very sharp, brings out all the lines in his face which helps the character of the shot. Fits the challenge well. 9

Now Thats A Shot. I had that same barber once.
Great detail, perfect pose and expression.
The left side collar is just a little over exposed for my taste showing only one small dark spot. The crop is just a bit tight on the left to me.
Great work, - 10

My favorite of the challenge! He has a great Christopher Lloyd (of "Back to the Future" fame) sort of expression there, not to mention similar hair styles!
