 I did not take this picture...
This is my grandmother who died of TB when my dad was a little boy (he's now 71). I found this old photo and cleaned it up with PSP.
I wish I could have known her. I'm told she lived her last days in a sanitorium. When my grandfather took my dad to see her, she could only wave to them from her second floor window as they stood out on the street.

Thats a very sad story. So many people back then were lost to disease. She was very regal and feminine...a real classic beauty with a kind face.
