How in god's name do you get so close to them? I thaught that they have a really good sense of smell and that the only way to get clse to them is if you don't shower hehe

How do you do it?

I can hardly wait to see your "Best of 06" image! I would bet that your heart pounding when you made this capture.
I wonder how this would look PP'd with "Gothic Glow" as Jutilda used on her image "Down the Road" to get the "glowing" effect?

I have been searching for the perfect deer picture for our new home and this is it! I have tried to order a print from this site, but can not access it. Can you please tell me where I can order a print? Please send me an email if possible to mckinneynoles@yahoo.com. This is truly the most beautiful deer photo I have ever seen. Thank you.

Nice shot... was this a multiple exposure of the same deer as he was moving towards you with some touchups on the facial markings and antlers as to make them look a tad different?
02/06/2006 10:24:38 AM
So what are the chances of finding 4 deer all that size with the exact same rack on their heads? Crazy find. Nice job...

My only complaint with this is the forground. I'd crop it more to get rid of the busy out of focus area as much as possible without crowding the deer. From the deer up this photograph is magical. I gave it an 8 for that reason.
01/18/2006 06:41:01 PM

Woah! Is this real? What increadible light and colors - all at the moment 4 bucks arrive on the scene! Nice composition as everything seems to converge toward the bottom center. I like the out of focus forground - it place the viewer in the middle of this remarkable moment without distracting.
