Mark, photos like this are why you're one of my favorites of the site. Your IR work inspires me to keep trying with my own. I hope to have your talent with it some day. I've been anxiously waiting for the trees to leaf back out all winter. I've been suffering from IR withdrawl. lol
Anyway, great work as always. This shot is simply beautiful.

No, not the photo date. I changed the date in my DPC portfolio so my challenge entries remain in order by challenge, not the date photo was taken.

| Very cool. I love the blue in combination with the IR plants. This would've done well in that fantasy world challenge. Might crop just a hair off the bottom so the grass doesn't over dominate. |

| OK - now that is fake looking which makes it magical when you throw in those birds. This is the best infrared photo I have seen.. This should be in the top 10 I would hope. Really n ice technique -- you should put this in the best of ... oh wait ... |

| Nice digital infrared here (I presume) I don't like the selective desat, it just looks fake and surreal, the highlights are slightly blown in samples but I really really do like the line here. This is one worth playing with some more, even to the point of reshooting, but I suspect it doesn't need to be totally reshot just tinkered with. 5/10. |

Pictures like this almost always give me a "cool" feeling.
When this challenge is over, please write up a how you did this, I have a few images that might turn out well with an effect like this applied.
Back to the image...
It's sharp, crisp, the infrared-like effect works well with the foliage and the blue is a wonderful shocking touch of color. All around quite nice. |
