This needs work because it seems just as a snapshot and took no photographic.

Maybe if the picture was longer exposure so the DOF was higher with an indirect flash?

Good catch. Technically would be better with a bit less exposure and reduced saturation and contrast. I'd also crop out the top third of the picture which adds nothing and shows distracting sensor noise.
