This is a great photo but some low marks may reflect the voter's view of how close it resembles Andrzej Dragan's work (which are very dramatic and amazing considering that by trade he is a professor with a PhD in quantum physics). Btw, I did not vote in this challenge (I wasn't a member yet) so it wasn't me with the low marks, I would've given it a 10.

This is beautiful photo, everything is perfect, and the photographer definitely deserved to win the blue ribbon.

I do have some questions though, why would ANYONE give this photo a vote of less than than a 6? I understand that the voting is subjective, but there is no way anyone would think this is a below average photo, yet 39 or about 15% of the voters thought it was below average. It would appear that some people give those photographs who they view as competition, a low score to improve their ranking in the contest. I am new here, but is this common?

Absolutely stunning. The lighting on his nose in combination with the fur hat. But you know what really does it for me? The teal green shirt. Something about it's color value that just sets it off! WOW - 10
