Before submitting I check my images using the pipette on the info palette in PS. And I can assure you that even lightest areas on the girl's face all contain color information under 255.

Love this shot! Only thing I would have to say is it looks like the majority of the highlights in this image are blown out and the midtones look a bit too flat. I have a sneaking suspician that the overbearing highlights happened in post production. The blue is a nice touch but a bit to overpowering as it looks more like a filter in front of the lens than toning an image. A curves adjustment could take care of all the little things that detract from the image, provided that the original image does not have the blown out highlights as well :) All in all, good job!

Thank you for all your comments and votes. I was a little indecisive about entering this as I know DPC and I know that a photo like this doesn't always go down so well. But looking at the votes I am happy with the outcome. Only 2 "ones", 5 "twos" and 8 "threes"! I was expecting a lot more :)

Just curious, is there a particular reason you didn't find my comment helpful but someone who only said "9" was helpful?

Just FYI, I gave yours a 10.

Wonderful processing. NI? Great blue tint to it too. One of my top picks. Good luck!

Super! I like the look of this. The only problem I might have is perhaps a bit more shadow on the guy's back (right side). As is his back lacks a bit of depth to it. However, that's just nitpicking since this is really good.

I simply go crazy for this shot, not only because it's excellent, but because it makes me FEEL what I think of romance. The girl's expression tells me everything, and somehow, the whole mood is very tender and noble.

Nice work. I especially like the lighting on her face, very nice but not at all as fond of the lighting on his back, not mysterious and dramatic as on her face. Anyway, one of the better shots in the challenge, got a 7 from me.

Tell me you didn't dodge the edges here, because the subject is handled tastfully, with just a bit of heat and the lightng is almost perfect (the man's hair is a bit blocked up) and the composition of the models with strong diagonals pulling the eye through the frame is all so good that this will ribbon. So I hope you did those falling off edges with lighting and no dodging because I'd like to see this with a blue ribbon and not under a pink stripe.

Beautiful skin tones. Might be a bit provocative for some, but I think it's nicely done. The blue tone really works.

Lovely composition. The light falls nicely on her, but seems a little monotonous on his back. A little too much NI for my taste, but a very senuous reprsenation of the theme.
