OK, before you get all excited. This is an experiment in taking abstraction to the extreme. This is actually a macro of 3 M&M's. I took the image and resized it to 6px x 4px, then resized it again to 640px x 427px, selecting Nearest Neighbor as the sampling method. Tweaked the colors a bit and there you have it.

I could almost see the m&m's in there, good work :p
frankly, why this one is DQ'ed is beyond me - though it would probably pile up among the other brown ribbon winners, hehe.
Quite an image (and DQ) to demonstrate the "nazi-ness" of people around here!

An excellent minimalist (to the extreme) idea! Great.

Some reasoning behind the why of the DQ. I realize there's no appealing the decision. There's no process for doing so anyway.

Whatever...

Maybe not a ribbon winner to me, but dqed?
Never the less it was good idea performed within the rules.

Keep on doing!

Big ole "BS!" on the DQ man.

Too bad on the "DQ" - seems perfectly legal to me. Great idea for an abstract.

Not particularly a fan of this sort of thing, and I voted accordingly. But, shouldn't be DQ'd in my opinion as nothing illegal was done to the image.

Bad luck on the DQ. You had a good idea that came out well, it's a shame that some trigger happy SC decided to shoot you down.

Brilliantly creative -- beyond the normal for these challenges.

I don't usually do this, but gonna have to call BS on this DQ. Nothing resembles a DQ in this photo. Gutsy, yes, illegal NO!

Gutsy submission. Guessed what it was, got a kick out of it, grossed out that it's been dq'd. Sure hope that's a boo-boo.

I thought this was brilliant. I gave it an 8. I can't believe it was DQ'd...

I like the feel of this abstract. It would be very interesting to know what the origional was.

I strangely like this. There's nothing much to it, but I still really like it.

this one tore me up. Its a beautiful image, definitely fits the theme. its just not clear enough if it is a rendered image or a digital photo. :(

Doesn't strike me as a photograph - looks like a computer test screen.

A good idea for the challenge but i don't find the image very interesting.

To me, this looks like an illustration rather than a photograph - nice color chart otherwise.

Sweet. Did you just have photoshop reduce the number of pixels to 24? I bet this won't score very high, but I think it's pretty good, anyway. Definitely an interesting take on the challenge.
