I really love this concept. If I had seen it, it would have gotten a 10 from me. Very simple and pleasing to look at. Excellent.

The final image is not much different to the original, just a few minor adjustments really. Here is the original:

Just a matter of experimenting with lighting and camera settings. Ya kangaroo :)

Hey sheepy. Nice photo, but it could have been improved if you had used a canon ;)

Thanks for all your comments and votes, it is fun being back again :) All this is is a a bunch of about 20 sheets of red A4. I put a paper clip to hold one end and then pushed the other end inwards a little to form some wave and put a paper clip at that end so it would stay in that form. Set up two softboxes in varios positions and experimented by moving the lighting and changing the aperture. Post processing only included cropping, curves, color balance, and a little blurring/sharpening.

Oh, yes, beautiful! Yes, I think I can tell what this is (I was considering shooting paper, too, but got sidetracked with another idea), but it's clearly still an abstract in my mind. Love the composition, the vibrant red against the black background, the DOF, I think you got it nailed here.

I am going to try to predict what it is for each photo: Yours is ....many sheets of colored paper

Very good work. I really like the shallow DOF, the flow and color. Perhaps some black at the bottom would add to the balance of the shot.

Nice. Good use of shallow depth of field. Good form and color, too.

How striking. I love the way your depth of field makes the edge look like it fades into the black. . .with amazing focus where it is supposed to be. Beautiful colors. Great job.
