I guess I'm a bit late to comment on this challenge, but this is one of my favorites from your profile -- each expression is so perfect.

{b]Greetings from the Critique Club[/b]

Hello, Librodo! Once again I have the pleasure of looking more closely at one of your images. As if one of your images needed to be critiqued.
;>)

About all I can really say is what I said last time I viewed one of your very fine photographs:

"You have a lovely image here and have been richly rewarded by our voters.

"There is little I can tell you on how to "improve" this image, so with thanks for the opportunity to view it once again, I shall move on to the next image in the Critique Club queue."

Lol! What is up with you and always getting the red ribbon :) I am heading over to DPC stats and see if you don´t hold the record for most red ribbons on this site :)

Anyway, congrats on yet another ribbon, I think it´s finally time I added you to my favorites list, thought I did so a long time ago.

Here I see the opposite faces of life: it must be strong to survive if you are unlucky, but your soul never stops to be happy for life. The high intensity of the eye-catching, the mother instinct of the sister protecting the brother and the happiness of the smile, all they produce a picture full of life.

I would consider cropping out laughing peace boy. He ruins the mood. Still a 7, could have been higher.

I just think this image would have a lot more effect if you cropped out the kid on the right.

strong emotion in the children's faces and the little girl making the peace sign really adds to the overall composition - great job

Tone is broken by the fifth child and the hand. Nothing a bit of cropping can't fix. If only it was that easy in life! 9.

The expression of the girl on the right seems out of place compared to the rest, particularly the young man sitting next to her. Maybe that's what makes this work so well.

lovely black and white photo of this children - hopeful for something better, but at peace.

For me, this would be a much more powerful image had the girl on the right been cropped out. The other four have such serious, haunting expressions, yet she is smiling and offering a peace sign. I love the tones of your image.

extremely powerful image...until my eyes drift to the right. The laughter and bold peace sign take away from the powerful expressions of the four children...makes it looked like there's a joke. If the image were cropped differently this would be a 10. 6 as is.

I would have prefered that the girl flashing the peace sign be cropped out. Maybe just include the two children on the left - I think they are the most dynamic. Great focus - love the tone.

Each expression is different, yet they compliment one another. Great photograph.

The anguish on their faces makes the photo compelling. Crop out the smiling one on the right.

My very favourite in this challenge! I love the sepia-like tones and the composition, the stunning expressions on the faces.

too bad the kid on the right is flashing a peace sign with a grin... much more powerful had he been cropped or if there was another take where all were serious looking
