 I used a small maglite torch as the light source for this shot. Shining the light from above for 10seconds and then 'painting' in the leaves and stem. The scene was placed in front of a section of black velvet to reduce the background to black.

I like it -- but i don't like the rightmost leaf. Cropping it out of the image makes a much stronger statement for me.

Very nice. Looks like a painting. The high light on the flower is just a tad overexposed, but I'm just nit pickin.

It's my favourite among the illuminated object pictures. The way you may the petals glow, the subtle illumination of the leaves is perfect on a black background. Exquisite!
