Challenge: In the Garden (Classic Editing)
Camera: Sony DSC-F707
Location: My garden, Humlebaek, Denmark
Date: Jul 23, 2003
Aperture: F8
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/30
Galleries: Humorous, Nature
Date Uploaded: Jul 23, 2003

Simple setup : myself, a lawnmover, a fake 3 cm ant. Camera on the tripod horizontal arm, on the ground, polariser filter, selftimer. Several tries to get the right view of both the ant and myself. Wanted to create a smile by expressing the danger for small animals to live in a garden, from the view of the animal. I tried with different shirts on. I chose this one because of the total of primary colors with the rest of the picture.

It took me forever to find this photo again. Then I just remember to go to my statistically favorites! I just wanted to say you got my one 10 for the challenge =)

Thanks Meggie and Eric (and others during the challenge) glad you like my shot, I still like it a lot myself. And I keep wondering, how on earth could I have used a real bug ? I don't kill animals for pictures. And with myself in the picture using the self timer it needed to sit still for 10 seconds....

This is THE best shot of the challenge. To all the nay-sayers - of course it is a toy ant! You should have titled it, "Now where did I leave my toy ant?" GREAT SHOT!

Well, voters suck..this was one of my favorite pics this week! I thought it is very clever, has a great dof, and the colors are great.

Too much of a set-up look to it

nice piece of humour here, reminiscent of Burn's To a Mouse poem

If that weren't a plastic ant, it would be really cool

a very clever idea - a real ant would have gotten a 10 :-)
