Taken using my new lightbox. Only had 50 watt bulbs, but I do like the lighting, just need it a little brighter

I don't think it needs to be brighter - I think you got it right! (added it as a fav)

I actually like that this isn't brighter as you mentioned in your comments. The deeper shade of orange really gives me a sense of autumn. Love the detail in the stem as well.

I love this picture and everytime I see your name "Tuckersmom" I think of this picture. I like the texture, the color and the single drop. So now, after looking at this many times, I am just going to add it to my favorites.

I like rear flower shots! I have one on my site, though it's not uploaded to my profile. I'm not sure I'm crazy about the grain, but I like the color and the water droplet on the petals. :-)

This is a unique perspective IMHO. The stem gets OOF towards the left but the sharpness is still there for the rest of the flower. The punch by using a black background really makes this image stand out.

Greetings from the Critique Club...

Hi Tuckersmom :)

I like this image quite a bit. I think the back side view of flower blooms are way underrated :) This photo did well enough in the challenge that it doesn't really require any/much critique. My critique for you will be that you should always post your own thoughts and intentions in the photographer's comments along with your submission. Why did you submit and why do you like this photo? Giving your own insight to a photo is a form of self-critique that is very worthwhile. Your camera settings are also useful. Ask yourself why you chose those settings :)

This is one of my faves from this challenge. Love the lighting, and the single drop is the perfect accompaniment for the petals. Beautiful.

One of my ribbon picks -- like the gritty feel, the droplet adds to the composition.

I'm loving this one actually, I like the lighting and the soft touch, it looks like it could be an oil painting. 10

Fantastic grainy quality and texture to the flower, and well textured and developed hairy quality to the shaft and stem. Its great to see the backside of the flower, with a tear? in such a perfect position to ad visual interest for the eye. Perhaps a version without the waterdrop would be nice too, I would be intersted in seeing a bunch of shots from this shoot; be sure to post them in your portfolio. Great shot, good luck.

I like the texture in this image. Somehow that seems to enhance the color contrast.
