I really need to learn how to post-process better...

Adjusted levels, saturation, contrast, and cropped a little to try and cut out the vignetting. That's it.

Post-Challenge

Well I guess the creativity bonus points got me through this. For those of you who are wondering, I did in fact stuff an orange into a tennis ball (with great difficulty). The idea came from the cover of a book I saw at Chapters called "Freakonomics" that had a picture of an orange on the cover with an apple skin. A lot of international borders do not allow fruit so I was thinking that this would be a very labour intensive way to smuggle oranges.

The picture was taken on my kitchen table and I was going to set it up with an "Evidence" card in front and try to make it look like somebody got busted, but I ended up with this. Lighting was from bedside table lamps (the shame...)

Thanks for the votes and I promise I'll work on my technique.

Only a truly zany individual would think of smuggling oranges.

Very well done.

I think that a bit more overall brightness and contrast would help things. Especially in the Orange/balls.

I've been trying to learn how to use USM to perk things up a bit after the resize too. Seems that bringing it down in size sacrifices a fair bit of detail.

Good idea, a bit of work, I believe, put to fit the fruit into the ball. But I think just one ball would be enough. What do you think?

This is a totally cool picture, and a totally cool and creative idea, but I was wondering where you might find trouble smuggling oranges? Everybody likes oranges!
