Photograph Information Photographer's Comments
Challenge: 2-Second Exposure (Advanced Editing IV)
Camera: Canon EOS-20D
Lens: Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro for Canon
Location: my office
Date: Mar 13, 2006
Aperture: f/14
ISO: 400
Shutter: 2
Galleries: Studio
Date Uploaded: Mar 13, 2006

At first I took this photo very much "tongue in cheek", after reading forum discussion (e.g. calling for DQ if not exactly TWO seconds; how can voters tell it really WAS a 2" exposure etc), but then I actually liked the outcome.

The background is scrunched up blue cellophane, lit from the side with a small flashlight.
Cropped, curves, saturation. Some minor cloning of hot spots on the background. Resize, sharpen (very small amount),save for web.
"Why ISO 400", you ask? Because I was too busy paying attention to the 2 second exposure to check the ISO setting.
Changed setting, tried again, but it didn't really make any difference so I just kept this one.
Now I'll pray that there won't be another 200 watch faces in this challenge.

funky blue background ... if you can make blue jello this is what it probably looks like, nice crisp image of the watch

This is nice. I like the blue background in contrast to the white face of the watch. Very effective.
