 I'm not sure how familiar people across the globe are with the Mr. Potato Head toys, but this one, in the theme of Darth Vader from Star Wars, is called "Darth Tater". The way I chose to photograph this toy doesn't really highlight the fact that it is a Mr. Potato Head toy. I chose to get close, as I usually do. I used a black velour backdrop to eliminate light in the background. I composed the photo on my tripod and used two 550ex flash units to provide the light.

Shooting for this challenge reminded me how much I dislike the basic editing rules. There are some imperfections in this toy that need to be cloned/healed out to make the photo a little stronger.

This photo is also my entry into round one of clubjuggle's bracket tournament for his MS fund raising campaign. My opponent is "I Enjoy Ham." I wish him, and the rest of the participants the best of luck in this contest. It's for a great cause :)
