Figured I would get my money out of this doll. Didn't really have a live model (no more kid shots from me for a while) and I don't really know anythign about portraits. So you get Kermie. Maybe the voters will be generous.

Post Challenge -
Thank you all for your generous votes. I have to hope that the 1s, 2s and 3s were all that low for dnmc rather than the technical aspects of the shot. Which I may have argued since Jim is in the shot. Still - very pleased with my placement. Hopefully Kermit is not the only way I can place high.

Not exactly your usual "color portait" but very well done. The lighting is fantastic, really seems like he is on a stage somewhere, with the pic of Jim in the background really adding to the feeling. Even the border is a benifit in my opinion. Really nicely done, composition, lighting, and creativity.

I have a book on Jim Henson (back in Australia). This photo would not look amiss in it (well, apart from the fact that it's not the "real" Kermit).

Hey it didn't say it had to be person's portrait :)
One of my top 10 from the challenge. A wonderful tribute to Henson, and an overall great photo.

This is clever and well executed. It has charm, humour and proves you don't need a gorgoeus female model to create a great portrait. Yours Sincerely, Miss Piggy;)

This is the highest scoring non-human entry. I gave it a 7. Just lovely.

There is more charm and humor than what meets the eye with this image.
Congratulations on your top 20 finish.

I voted this a 9.
I loved the exposure as it seems perfect, even on the frog's green body.
The execution is really good as Kermit Frog looks so alive.
The composition includes his creator's potrait in the back, and I like that, except it would be better if it's a little sharper? Just my opinion. cheers.

Nice, not a person shot in a portrait challenge and you know what, I still think it perfectly fits :) Nice job on the lighting, good idea and well executed. 7 from me.

I took a quick look at all the thumb nails for this challenge and this is the one that stopped me, I had to view it in the larger size. I am not a fan of toy cars, stuffed animals, or woody doll pictures but this one is different. I don't even like Kermit and if I have to see another pizza commercial with Ms Piggy I am going to break the TV set, but again this is different.
I can't tell you how much I like this photo, very well done. I really hope this is scoring well and I will do my part, 10

This is absolutely my favourite of the challenge. Definitely "out of the box" but it is so well done. It would not have been as good without Jim Henson's picture in the background. Hope to see it take a ribbon.
