Found this very old, dry leaf on the ground outside and hoped it wouldn't crumble to nothing before I had photographed it.
Put the leaf into a bowl filled with green coloured water, used flash from underneath and a slave flash from the side.

Wonderfull pictures. Is photography your job, or how did you get so good at it?

This is really beautiful! Flash from underneath - did you turn the camera upside down to take the photo?

Beautiful clarity. It makes me feel like I'm floating alongside the leaf and have to be careful not to move or the drop will fall off.

Very nice. I want to know how you got that red bead to show up? Great detail in the leaf veins and the DOF is pretty deep also considering the subject distance. This feels a little like Ursula. ;^) Good luck in the challenge.

Would absolutely love this picture if the orange looking drop on the side of the leaf wasn't there. Nice colors and technique thou. Also, I think I see your reflection at the bottom of the photograph. Overall nice job.

I really like the picture, but it doesn't fit the challenge

Not sure I like the green tint in the 'water' but nicely composed and executed. Did you set this up or find it? I just looked again and can see the lines in the bowl towards the top so I answered my own question...

this is very nice. like the sharpness on teh leaf and softness of the surrounding water. only minor critisism is the blown highlights. they help to frame the subject, but are also a little distracting. nicely done.

That single amber drop is what gives that extra bit of punch. The green of the water - its luminescence is lovely. Such a simple thing. I love it.
