Challenge: Window Framed (Advanced Editing IV)
Collection: Challenges
Camera: Canon EOS-20D
Lens: Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM
Location: South Yarmouth, Cape Cod, MA
Date: Apr 21, 2006
Aperture: f/11
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1.125
Date Uploaded: Apr 22, 2006

From RAW

Contrast masking, hue/sat, selective color, cloned out a lump of dog in lower right

resize, USM, border

I realize that the view, arguably, is not the "subject" of this image, but I also feel that the windows "frame" the room itself, so it's multi-layered in my mind. Qnyway, I was having so much fun resurrecting my old architectural photography lighting skills that I just decided to enter this :-) This is my dentist's house, btw...

wow, you at your dentist's house. makes me wonder how many times do you do your dental in a year, lol.
I like this take. it's unique and refreshing. something awkward about the distortion, i feel, but it's minor. Love the warm colours.

Wow - *way* underrated. I definitely saw it as the windows framing the room, with the view as a nice added touch.

Makes you want to be a dentist. :P Proof that this fits the challenge is I'm just now noticing that dog on the couch! I don't think I saw it during the challenge.

Whole shot looks a bit odd and flat, could use a serious contrast boost. I bet i know why though, looks like you did a raw double exposure on the inside and outside and put them together. Not a bad job on that, not at all, just needs more contrast.

What a very inviting room! Nicely captured.

This doesn't work for me - no clear primary subject. From the title, the view would seem to be your target, but the room dominates. The wide-angle distortion just compounds things.

love the wide angle on the shot ... talk about an oasis!

Looks slightly soft here, I think a slight USM would make this a lot better.

The subject in this picture seems to be the room itself, which is a nice picture, but you may suffer from a lower score because your main subject is not what is being framed

Possibly could be strenghtned by positioning the corner of the room to the right or left to follow the Rule of thirds. JMO
