Post challenge:
Thanks for good votes and better comments.
My hand was a bit forced in the composition of this, to get the tree reflected in the window I had to be exactly where I stood. Around was a whole lot of flagpoles and streetlights, and by standing exactly where I was, I could block them out by the posts in the window itself.
The saturation of the blue has alread been increased to the aesthetic maximum, so don't ask for more ;)

"A window framed" is an excellent addition into the Window Framed challenge. I have to say first congratulations on the placement, top 5% very well deserved.

The first thing that grabs my attention is the contrast between the blue and white, what an excellent subject. Then you are able to see a reflection of a tree within the surround tree climbing the wall, how prefect is that? Pretty prefect in my opinion.

I do like the composition, it makes the piece feel complete. The focus is very crisp and we immediately know where our subject is. You did an excellent job capturing the reflection, it really do look pretty flawless. Normally I am not a fan of borders, but I think your choice really ties the piece together. Also the lighting looks great, prefect use of natural light from what I can tell.

Obviously I was a big fan of this shot and I am very glad you choose to enter this one.

I really like the way the ivy seems to be cradling the window framed tree in its "hand".

I really like this on so many levels... the shape of the ivy simulates the shape of a tree, but looking to the "inside of the tree" through the window, you see the bare tree with only its branches, naked and exposed.. this shot can be so metiphorical... excellent

Wow, how wierd is that growth pattern? Love the colours in this one, the green vs. the blue vs. the tree and sky i the window. 7 from me.

I like this photo. The ivy looks like hands holding the window. It's a bit off-topic though - isnt' the subject supposed to be framed by the window?

I really like the colors in your entry! did you try to stand right in front of the window? I think that might be an improvement for your compo... but not sure.

Creative out of the box thinking. Brilliant use of reflection and very interesting how the plant on the wall and the tree interact. Good colors and cropping.

I love the deep, rich blue but the centred composition doesn't do it for me I'm afraid. Shame about the reflections in the window, a polariser might have fixed those.

The content within the window is very, very good. Everything surrounding it is drab and low contrast. You might try three things: 1-Make a Levels adjustment throwing away the few pixels at top end but use masking to bring them back again in the image (that would be in the window) 2-Use Selective color to adjust both green and blue to make those colors stand out more. 3-Use 'Selective color' to select the green ivy and add a 50% greyscale overaly layer, and paint in lighten mode at about 20-30% to bring out more green in the ivy. You might like the result.

I really like the saturation and vivid color contrasts in this photo. IMHO the negative blue space is a little dominating in the composition. Perhaps getting in tighter may have helped. Also, shooting from straight-on may have given the shot a more two dimensional appearance which would increase the dramatic effect and surrealism of the reflection in the window. Take a look at a picture in my portfoliio entitled "Portal" as an example.... Great capture nonetheless

Well, yes, that's very clever. And quite a beautiful photograph, too. A tree framed by a window framed by a tree framed by a wall. Russian doll tree! Nice work. 8.
