Challenge: Clichés and Sayings (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Sony DSC-N1
Location: Fort Wort, Tx
Date: Apr 27, 2006
Date Uploaded: Apr 28, 2006

This picture was taken at the Fort Worth Modern Art Museum. There was a ladder that was 36 feet long made out of 1 sappling branch cut in half to make the sides. it was really amazing. Its called The ladder for Booker T. Washington. Just as amazing as the ladder was the bad ass shadows it left on the wall, which made me equally intrigued. This pic wasnt really planned out it just sorta happend.

Once my votes were staying above a 7 I said I would finish 4th cause thats how my life works and I knew there were a some other really great pics in there. So I just laughed when I saw my placement and still loving it. My highest score to date.

Thanks to everyone for their comments. You are the cats pajamas.

I'm right there with you ... 2x I've known i would get forth for the same reason! ... I love this image. Conicidental that it was at an art museum - you've created another work or art from it. I also appreciate the description and the bit of research included. Well done.

Masterful idea and comp and the broken ladder adds emotion. lighting is perfect. Maybe a bit more contrast on the subject would help. 10

Nice shot. Nice composition and great lighting. I can't figure out how the ladder shadows were done. I like that the predominance of color is in the man.

oooh I like this composition, but somehow I wish it had a different title. I think it may have scored even better then. "Stairway to Heaven" maybe?

Hope it does well.

This thumbnail really jumped out at me...they don't do that too often. Great photo really fits the saying. The slighlty dark lighting really hammers the point home, as does the composition. Excellent job!

Wow - great image. The art direction and style are really wonderful. The image of the two ladders really sells it as well - that things aren't even a straight line struggle. Well done. 9
