The mind of kids is like a blank canvas. The painters are we, the people who paint their world and make their vision of the world. It is up to us, the painters, to paint a beautiful and peacful world for the young.

Obviously didn't suit the voters idea for the challenge- can't say I disagree with them, but I will say that this is really a great portrait and nice capture of a humorous expression. Well done on those points. :)

Greetings from the CC
What I really like is this lil guys expression! He looks (no offense) a little blank.
I think you did a good job on it I think the high key suits the topic and enhances the blank stateness you are trying to convey. I generally do not like central compositions either, but I think that it does work in this photo. To just have a lot of white background would not added anything.

I think some folks may have considered this a more conventional portrait vs. environmental portrait, which is why I suspect you did not do a litttle better than did. Overall a nice shot, I think the parents would like it : )

Good high key shot, and thanks for the use of black and white. It works very well.

Nice highlights in the eyes. Interesting take on environment, the entire world is available to young minds. Too bad we close doors as we age.

I like your concept, but I think to pull it off I want to see more white. a grat portrait nonetheless.

Blank Canvas? I am also drawing a blank as to how this meets the challenge.

Photograph a portrait that says something about the subject within the framework of their own environment.

this is a great photo --- there is nothing I could suggest to make it better.... knocking off 1 point because, IMO, it doesn't show any kind of an environment.

nice expression, I see where you're going with this, but it does need an environment.
