| I'm a real sucker for ballett, i just saw "La Bayadere" here in the Opera House in Dresden, dunno if you've heard about it, but great performance! anyways, great shot, love the tension and simple, yet very effective composition! |

I hope the success of this amazing photo. . .and the incredible finish let you know how photogenic you are, and by now your boyfriend has a virtual portfolio of beautiful photos of you :) This really is such a striking, beautiful photo, and you ARE VERY photogenic. Doing this photo with the reflection in the floor: genius.
But I totally understand the hating to have your picture taken. I am the same way. It is a raaare occasion to find me actually IN photos :)

pidge, i'm a fan of this one (i know this is an old shot, but i thought i might let you know anyways:) ) If I had a girlfriend that wouldn't let me take a picture of her and then she would take one of herself and post it on the net for 1000's to see, i would be disapointed as well :P

Beatiful work. Splendid pose and choice of environment. Would've liked the horizontals and verticals to be more level and plumb though, so the lines are less distracting.

| I like the simplicity of this shot, and I think the black and white works well to further that simplicity. The focus is great and the exposure is perfect in what appears to be a tough exposure situation. |

I used to play ballet when I was 11 years old.. every lesson there was a man behind the piano, and I even can still remember what the name of my teacher was... good old times ;)
when I look at your photo, you look like one of the big girls in the ballet-school I looked up to. They were beautiful with the pointes and their clothes. I've never danced on pointes, but that was a dream of mine. Still, when I see them, I have to think about that time.
you're in the middle of the photo, normally it would be "boring" but you've managed to take a shot that's so stunning, it doesn't matter where you are in the photo.. the look on your face is fantastic, just like the pose you're in.
this is a 10 and I'm gonna add you to my faves. sorry for the background story, hope you can appreciate it :) |

| OMG - this is freaking fantastic! Good capture of facial expression, beautifully composed with the natural window framing in the background, pose and costume give the viewer a sense of yourself, and a reflection to boot. I don't have enough praise... You Rock! |

| The feel of distance to the subject works well here with the long lead up in the foreground. Maybe I would have taken just a smidgeon more off the front, but that is just me. Super sepia toning and framing, this will do very well. Bumping from 8 to 9. |
