Hope it will come useful, will answer questions if you have any.

Thanks for all the comments! Neither is this a composition of two images or a backdrop as some have stated, it's just me jumping in rather regular Icelandic landscape. I'll show you a setup photo later today.

Steiner: this is simply magnificent. This image has movement within a great expanse and it is an outstanding coming together of many ingredients. The body position soars and the expression is right there to exploit the the overhang of the hands against the turbulent sky. Done like a master!

Congratulations on your blue!

i commented during the challenge but thought I would say congrats (I thought that this had to be a backdrop ... unless you live in Iceland or something :) ... Upon further observance ... even the clouds seem to fit just perfectly in this image. Notice how the left cloud is semi parallel with the arm and flows toward the body like a wing ... clouds on the right conform along the shape of the hand. The set-up is great and the bit of luck with the clouds make a semi-subliminal balance that is appealing in many ways. You've raised the bar a bit for self portraits me thinks.

True, I was one the edge. It wasn't vertical, but still I'd rather not have fallen down. Actually I didn't jump that high. As you can see on the setup photo the camera tripod is at it's lowest position, and the wide angle lense (17mm) aimed upwards.

I have been meaning to send you a comment about this truly awesome shot. Congratulations on a well thought out, technically challenging/excellent shot! You deserve the blue! I am so envious of your beautiful icelandic landscapes. Thanks for the set-up shot, helps dispel the backdrop theory.

Not really sure, might be relatively more contrast than saturation or just the icelandic look ;-) (3/4 icelandic)

Amazing! Great job - 10 from me.

Had to come back and comment on this one again, as it's my favorite in the challenge, and maybe one of my favorites on DP Challenge. Really striking lighting (which all your shots seem to have) and great concept. The only thing that could make me like it more is if your right shin / foot wasn't hidden, but still really love it. Hope you get the blue!

Upon looking at this a second time, I determined that this must be a backdrop of some kind. The apparent 2nd light source is convincing though and overall the image is stunning.
