This is my "Flowers" entry for the 2006 county & state fairs. Fished first in the category and was the Reserve Champion color photo at the county fair.

This shot would have also looked nice taken in the yellow bathroom instead of our living room. Ya know, I think I have a thing for that yellow. I also like how one flower is higher than the other... it give balance to those leaves down at the bottom. Nice job.

Oh Larry!!! This is stunning!!!! I just downloaded that Virtual Photographer a few days ago. . .this so inspires me to try to get a shot that looks this beautiful! I love the soft tones achieved without compromising sharpness. Too bad you couldn't enter this one in the Still Life challenge! I would have voted it a 10 without hesitation!

I'm a complete beginner photographer who knows absolutely nothing (at this stage :D ), so please take my comments with a large grain of salt, but my favourite picture of the three is the first one. I love the softness of it, the simple lines, the tight crop, the light. I think it's quite beautiful. Though, I do agree that it needs just a little subtle tweaking to turn beautiful into breathtaking. Gorgeous. :)

I really like this. Nice and warm, Love the softness of the bg, and the flowers themselves are just right.

My 5yo daughter says it's very pretty and you should know that her word is the law lol. She's brutally honest!
