Thanks for the comments. coronamv was correct, this was an expert kayaker doing "loops" or front flips into the currant. He was up in seconds about 30 yards downstream. Quite swift and cold water in the Arkansas River this time of year. Van

Great shot of the flip. It would be real interesting to see what this person looks like after they roll back over...

Nice shot sort of but would have been so much more powerful with a facial expression in there somewhere. 6 from me.

He's doing it wrong! I really like this one, and it was actually the exact idea that I had. I just didn't get to make the 4 hour ride up to the river. Nicely seen and very well captured. The composition is excellent and the crisp, stopped motion is spectacular. This is one of my top 10 in the overall challenge, and it should finish pretty well.

A whitewater loop does not show failure but shows actual achievement. This is a nice photo but does not fit the subject matter.

oops! nice shot, good sharp focus and nice composition, you really capture the action well, only thing maybe mess with the colors to brighten them up a bit (the photo would still convey failure), but nice work!

Great action shot. Nice focus. Title explains what can't be seen in the photo.
