Wow! This is great, another Red. And, look at the stats, who still believes in trolls!

Lots of levels, highlight/shadow, hue/sat selective colors usm, ni. Not necessarily in that order.

This was shot with natural light using a tripod from about 6 feet away and using a tight zoom on my 70-300mm lens.

P.S. - Doing the happy dance!

She loves him/her and I love the picture!!! The contrast you made (yellow with amazing blue), the sharpness of the yellow part of the flower, the petals in the background (not in focus which is awesome because to me it kind of shows that the only one that really matters is the one that is left on the flower). And of course the diagonal composition is great. Kudos! :)

i really love this, did i fav it already?

I like the concept, but the execution is only "average" to me. Why? Firstly, I don't really like the black background - although I can see why you wanted it dark. 2nd, I like the concept of having blurry petals in the background, although I find the placement of the bright spots within the composition a bit too systematic. 3) The light seems to be the light of some clousy day - and although it fits the concept, I think I'd have prefered a more appealing light. 4) I don't think this odd farmat was the best to convey your message. Perhaps a square was more appropriate - possibly with a little more negative space around the flower...? 5) The slightly more complex and blurry part that's behind the flower at corner bottom right adds nothing to the rest of the picture, and therefore would better be left out of the frame - although it isn't really annoying. Overall, still a good concept and a fairly good photo: I was just looking for possible improvements. Best regards.

Very creative interpretation of the song title and a worthy ribbon winner!

I wonder if the glass jar in bottom right knocked a few points off the score?

This should of been the winner... I think I will count this as blue ribbon... It SCREAMS the song when I look at it... This had to be the blue ribbon :(

Very excellent job...

Already scored this a 10 and I am now coming back to comment. Simple, clean and beautifully presented. The single petal and the remaining portion of the daisy are in crystal sharp focus. In the background we can see the blurred picked petals. They fade into the background not just physically but also symbolically. Those flower petals do not hold the answer to the question "Does she love me". The one that tells us "She Loves You" is the last remaining one on the daisy that dominates the forefront. Simply brilliant.

Very nicely done! Fit's the challenge to a 'T'. Hope it does well. The only things I would comment on negatively are the round object bottom right is distracting and I wish there was more detail in the rejected petals...

Just when I think I'm sick of flower macros. LOL This is wonderful, particularly with the petals OOF in the background. Excellent composition and light and the focus is tack sharp. This is most certainly a crowd pleaser! Good one. Perfectly suited for the title. Not a stretch at all. 9
