I took a past entry from the Something Old II challenge, , an image that many liked but said they would have liked it better if I removed two buckets and a blue object at the bottom. I did just that.

I loved this during the challenge. Don't know why I never commented. The composition and colors. Has a sadness about it. Immediately, what comes to mind is a famous song of the 40's with the same title.

A little dream castle
With every dream gone
Is lonely and silent
The shades are all drawn
And my heart is heavy
As I gaze upon
A cottage for sale
The lawn we were proud of
Is waving in hay
A beautiful garden
Has withered away
Where you planted roses
The weeds seem to say
A cottage for sale
From every single window
I see your face
But when I reach the window
There's empty space
The key's in the mailbox
The same as before
But no one is waiting
For me anymore
The end of our story
Is there on the door
A cottage for sale

Lovely. Great colors/tones/composition. Not sure what the orignal was, but this one needs no improvement from my perspective.

I have just googled, and found, your original photo, and think this entry is a significant improvement. I also think the photo is very worthy on its own, with wonderful burning and dodging......good score given.

What can I say about this except outstanding. The color of this photo is so interesting that I am forced to look at the details of the image like the moss on the railing, and the tree limbs. Didn't take me long to know I like this photo.

Really interesting shot. Was the grundge or dragonizer effect used in this shot? Would be really interested how you achieved this effect if not.

Sharpening halos are too evident. Image is not lacking drama.
