Fantastic shot. Given Syd Barret's recent death, there's more poignance in the use of the Floyd quote.

Just came across this shot. I think it is fantastic, and the ridiculous score is just another testament to the poor tastes of an average DPC voter. Unlike one of the previous commenters I especially like how the bird blends in with the dirt, kind of "dissolving" in it...

Sorry but a bit too monotone for my taste, the dead birt completely blends in with the backround and it´s hard to make out, no one part of this photo that stands out also and that is hurting it in my opinion. Not a bad shot though at all, got a 5 from me.

I am unsure of how this meets the challenge... maybe because "The End" is unexpected? This is a very dramatic shot... I like it. However, I would have gone with black and white instead of the green tint. It would be nice if the bird was emphasized a bit more... although I like the blending of textures.
