What is usm? Whatever it is it worked great for this photo!

UnSharp Mask. (see description) The photo looks so smooth because of noise reduction (Neat Image) making the details smooth out. I like the photo, but don't feel that it is a representation of reality.

Wow! This is a striking image, to say the least. I love the "look" you've achieved with post-processing. Thanks for sharing the details. I'm amazed that you got this effect with just USM, neat image, etc.
