| Boy, I missed this one in the challenge. The colors are amazing here. This is a picture that could easily be used in some national add for Canon printers or the like. Very sharp too. Congrats on the green ribbon! |

Beautiful shot Sandy! VERY well done! The colors are so rich and full. The detail on your subject is excellent. I love the composition and the crop you chose. Very nice lines and balance between subject and the background. You definitely nailed this one perfectly! Excellent work! Just added to favorites. All I can say is the 1/2/3 votes must have been from people who were jealous because this is simply gorgeous!

Sandy...I am so sorry that we scored the same at 6.901 and I got the ribbon. I guess they have a system that they work to to decide who wins based on how many 10's or whatever...

Cannot believe it, as you "so" deserved to ribbon with this shot.....
Just look at your score, and coming fourth is "fantastic", out of 430 entries Sandy.....

Red Lorikeet?
The colors of this photo are just awesome!! The beak stands out great against its purple compliment and the rainbow lori in the background is terrific! Its great how you dont notice it right away.
I love the way the red in the background echoes the shape of the birds body in the foreground (that looks like a wing, not sure). I also like how the wing helps bring your eye to the edge of the photo.
I love this photo, it has a great feel to it (I love birds too, though, so you get extra points for that!) 10!! |

| What a stand out. That tack sharp eye with the glint of light - wow. The purple and red combination is killer! I like the diagonal line of it too with that little guy popping up out of the upper right corner, as well as the blurred line behind him on the left. Great job. |

| Striking colors and tack sharp. The bokeh is good but the background in general is a bit too busy for me. Still the image is really good so it gets a 7 from me. |
