Well, imagine my surprise. Just doing a search on lighting wrench and look what I found. Thought it was sort of interesting, then noticed the "Trash Day" title, and then I had to get really close to the screen! (ok, so I could have zoomed the image, but you know me . . .) Really enjoyed reading the comments - especially regarding the question of purpose for the gloves!

I really like this picture, and I really appreicate that you showed the setup. I took a look at it and just thought, "whoah!" Like I've said many times now.. I'm not much of a photographer.. I've never thought about actually setting up a shot.. or what kind of results you could get. I just go out and see what there is to see and snap it. hehe. This photo is very cool and appealing to the eye.

The lighting used is two Source Four theatrical lighting instruments. They have 575 watt blubs in them, the ridges are the reflector showing up due to low intensity from the Source Four. The setup picture is here: //www.agapecomputerservices.com/dpchallenge.cfm
Once again thanks for the Comments.

Beautiful lighting spotlights the subjects. Like the shadows and reflections that you were able to capture in your piece. What kind of lighting did you use. Seem like it is producing ridges.

Very good! This is a good photo for light, position's tools and theme. (Sorry for my English, I'm Italian).

Excellent lighting. However, I\'m not entirely clear on what the tool is. None the less, the quality of this photo is good enough to put it in the top 10 or 20.

Like the color. What's the purpose of the gloves?

The lighting effect is interesting, but I don't recognize the tool.
