 This "Butterfly" Orchid, comes from the family of "Phalaenopsis" orchids. It was one of my 56th Birthday gifts from my husband.
I also received my new "Canon" Marco Lens as well. I absolutely "LOVE" my macro lens, and had a ball taking "Bokeh" images, for this challenge. I will upload my "outtakes" for you all to see, after the challenge.....

I am dedicating this image, to one of my dearest friends, Brenda, who passed away on the 3-7-2006. This is for you dear Brenda, with love always.

May you & Ted, always be with the "Angels of Light".

The centered composition really works well here due to the bokeh & light "sparkles" leading off to the upper right. Beautiful capture.

NO I didn't, but I don't mind, as I personally "LOVE" this image for two reasons, as it was the first series of images I took with my macro lens. The second, is that apart from dedicating this to my friend, I personally think it is technically my best shot ever.....

Definitely meets the challenge and exhibits proper bokeh. The subject matter leaves me wanting (not because it's a flower - I have nothing against flowers - it just lacks a "wow" factor for me). The image also comes across a little grainy and over sharpened (IMO). Good luck!

What a perfect specimen. The flower is so perfectly symmetric. I would love to have seen the flower suspended ( ie surrounded) by the Bokeh effect. The bottom leaf is a little bit distracting but not enough to score this anything lower than way above average. By the way I am not a big fan of flower shots but yours I like...
