Very strong shot. The hands speak of such experience.

It's hard to know which tool you were referring too.. the hands or the clippers.
Well done

This picture is extremely interesting. I just wish it weren't so grainie and out of focus in the lower right corner. Good luck.

Great idea, and execution. Wonderful idea to have ( if you set this up :) I shouldn't assume that...but i will for this purpose ) the man hold the tool behind him. It's just different enough to add more interest. You can tell that he's a worker from the grit under the nails...adds authenticity and texture. Nice. The composition is very well done as well. Nice work.

A tool can't do nothing without his user. As I can see we have here an experiment user. Nice idea that gives life to this "dry" Theme.

This is my favorite for the challenge. The hands say it all! Hope his index finger isn't stuck in the lopping shears. Great texture and contrast!

I like the double meaning. Excellent interpretation and use of black and white. It looks a bit over sharpened but it doesn't take anything away from the picture. - 9

Wonderful. It seems like this shot is more about his hands than the clippers. The exposure is great and I love the contrasts.

Nice shot...b/w brings out the lines. Like the euphamism for the old tools as well. Good job!

I like this image a lot - the hands, the perspective, the sense of time passing . the angle of the clippers and the hands suggesting judgement reserved 9

phenomenal photograph.. the exposure here is perfectfor a strong black and white. I love the dual tool concept of the hands and the cutter as well... this is my fav photo this week... good luck in the challenge :) = 10

those hads don't need to be holding any tool. tight crop on the hands and you'd have a winner.

I like the look of this image and it works well being in B&W. I don't like the fact that the tool is being held behind his back (a little unflattering perhaps). I do like the age in the hands and the tones in this.

Giving the tool a human element is a nice touch and adds more character to it. The choice of toning is also good and adds to that mood and character. At first glance the hands seem to be the focus, probably because they are more center and lighter, but hands are in themselves a tool and so it blends well. The only thing I'm not too keen on appears to be a DOF(?) issue on his lower right leg. The blur is a little distracting and it also affects the head of the tool.
