...Fire burn and caldron bubble.

...like I've mentioned before, I have special powers...

; }

after:

About the quilt, the one on the wall...I made it, it was my very first published work, and has been to more places in the world than I have...it's called "We're Never Really Alone" The eyes are surround by fabric with various roach like bugs...I printed and the fabric.

The cats...I didn't "pose" them...they are not dogs. All natural light except for some spot lighting on their faces...I wanted the faces to show, the bodies didn't matter...I know they're cats and assumed you would too. I don't care too much about "technical perfection"...just how the image comes together and that it's not boring, to me atleast...

...thanks for all those comments!

You quilt, too? Clever combination of skills, that! Oh, and I like the picture. Yes, they're black cats - ain't no way to light them in any technically perfect way. The fact they stayed where they are for 2.5 seconds is the part I find amazing.

Hey, I know who this is! Good use of natural light, as always. I could have sworn that the wall hanging had bug thingies on it, though, instead of eyes :P

What beautiful cats. I'll bet they do give you double trouble when they get going. It is a nice shot, but maybe too much like a snapshot. Still, it is not to say the image shouldn't have been taken. A tighter crop may have focused more attention on the cats and the umbrella, though I am not sure what the umbrella represents.

The open umbrella is a nice touch. I like the composition too.

I don't know how anyone could sleep in that bed now! Interesting quilt on the wall. I'm not sure how, but the first cat and the far wall are in focus, while the middle cat seems blurry to me. Maybe he moved.

I like. I don't know but you might be getting flack for the underexposed face of CloserKitty - I think it works wonders with only the eyes visible, it leads nicely with the eye-filled dealybob hanging on the wall.

Great, great picture.
Dude...that thing on the wall...I don't think I'd be able to sleep with all those eyes looking at me.

You are as supersticious as I am ! lol
I really love your patchworks by the way...
It's a beautiful photo , the cats feel very at ease and the one under the umbrella brings me back many memories...
I like the composition and the black & white choice.
For me , a peaceful scene with beautiful elements.A well deserved 10 !

Great choice of tone! The quilt on the wall adds a nice dimension to this as does the umbrella. Wonderful exposure for the lighting used. Good luck in the challenge.

Not sure if the umbrella was necessary. But I think the B&W was a good choice.

No sure I like the back ground for those lovely kities. They would perfect against something less busy

Nice idea, and I like the b&w. Perhaps a little too narrowly cropped? I like the shadows and textures

I like it. :) However, the foreground cat seems to be just slightly out of focus. Oh, and the "wall of eyes" in the background freaks me out a little... ;)

All those eyes in the background are a little bit creepy. The lightning seems to not be favoring the black cats. you can't really make up any detail in them!

Love the eye quilt in the background. Very nice touch, but the umbrella in my opinion has to go. and better poses for the models. The front one is ok, but the back one should be changed. Maybe get rid of the pillows and crop the image tighter?

I love the way the headboard and umbrella look but the definition has been lost in the closer cat. cant see where the face ends and body begins. also both cats have motion blur which obviously is hard to avoid with cats but does take soemthing away from the photo. 6
