This is an awesome black and white...love the tonal range and the detail

This shot should have placed so much higher, well done

You've chosen a nice tonal range to emphasize the texture. I'll have to remember this.

Almost surreal-like texture.
But I like this photo a lot.
Great B+W and great focus and framing.

I thought this was wonderful, got an 8 from me. Very good sharpness level. Good tonal depth too. The only thing I wonder about is the orientation/composition - I wasn't sure I liked the cuts on the top and bottom. If it were mine, I might experiment with making the crop more symmetrical or else maybe rotate the image so that the chops are at diagonals...? Just musing :)

You certainly have captured that texture. Nice work.

Never heard of 'em ... Anyway, about the image :] ... The grainy bits on the petals definitely make these look like a gritty statue ... the contrast between the normally soft petals and the new-found texture found in the photo is very interesting and should prove positive among voters, I would think. 8

I like this, the conversion really works well and gives the petals more definition :)

Very antique look to this with the B&W tones. Classic beauties, great job!
