First of all; let me say that I checked out your portfolio when this challenge was over and was thoroughly impressed with your success right out of the gate. It's obvious that you are very talented; and I predict that you are going to continue submitting unusual and interesting images for our enjoyment.
The first thing that struck me about this image was how the title enhances it. The "diary" is animated, and indeed, appears to be flying. On it's own, it might not be that captivating; however, the sunrise in BG and reflecting from the pages really adds the color and warmth that makes this image "pop". DOF, focus...everything is spot-on.
If I had to think of a nitpick, I guess it would be the finger at the left. Honestly though, I didn't even see it until I had been looking for a very long time.
Excellent work. And congratulations on your ribbon! I'm envious:) |

| Nice! Excellent idea to use the flashes to cause the "ghosting" or movement in the pages, that is definately the finishing touch here or the "wow" factor everyone talks so much about. Congrats! |

Trying to leave some more in depth comments on random photos, so here goes...
I like the unique perspective here, its much more interesting than a typical still shot of a diary with pen. The soft colors and reflections of color in the pages are wonderful. The movement of the pages is interesting, the pages are well focused with just a little bit of the movement being apparent, which unexpected, but nice. Suggestions for improvement? Maybe a slight crop to get rid of some of the dark colors on the bottom and right? I think you pulled this together very nicely. Well done and good luck! |

| I can almost see the pages blowing in the wind. The sunset coming through the pages is very effective and well executed. The wall or window frame at behind the right side of the diary is distracting and doesn't help the compostion. |

Nice illusion... too bad about the shadows... I actually started to believe it for a minute! You matched the light extremely well... that stuff on the right with the door frame or whatever it is detracts as well...
At first glance, I thought this might have the elements of a top 10... Looking closer pulls some of the lustre off of it... sorry. |
