-Made gradient mask for area above the water
-RGB Curve through mask for water
-RGB Curve through mask for sky
-Channel Mixer through mask in monochrome mode to de-colorize the water
-Crop a little from left, top, bottom
-USM at 16%/64 dia/TH =0
-USM at 88%/1.3 dia/TH =0
-Cloned-out some stray smoke
-SaveAs JPEG at quality 9/10 = 132kb

The reflected color was really ugly -- that's one reason I chose to make the water gray.

the image itself seems a tiny bit blurry, but the water is a nice touch ;)

Maybe should have cropped a bit more on the left. Some distracting elements in the sky and on the horizon. Selective colour emphasizes the fireworks nicely, but it makes the water look less attractive. Also, was this handheld? A tripod might have helped for better sharpness.

I'd have gone with a tighter crop myself. Still some of the water, but closer to the fireworks, to keep the focus more on them.
