I love this one; at the moment it is, of course, an unholily perfect image, unnassailable. By the time you lot and your votes have finished with it, no doubt, it'll be lurking around the 5.8s and wholly forgotten.

It took a while of waiting for the passers-by to fit themselves into the pattern, and the guy on the left is sittig down to have his photograph taken, of all things - not by me.

Near six o'clock, just before the museum closes, the sun streams through the great west window of the turbine hall, like - well, like this. It helps that the floor slopes gently away from the windows, accentuating the spread of the light.

Great capture! There is one very similar in this weeks Amateur Photographer (29th July). It finished 4th in the Shadows comp. At first glance I thought it was yours but I think yours is better. Congrats on your ribbon!

This is quite nice; you have a great movement achieved here; perhaps it shows how "organic" humans are, when viewed against a background of white and black stripes. It also has a quality bigger than the shot itself; a "walk into the light " sort of quality. A bigger spiritual meaning. nice.

Magnificent Ed.
How you can receive 36 votes of 5 and under for a piece of work like this is beyond me....However,it received the ribbon it deserved regardless.
Congratulations.

Didn't get a chance to vote, but this is a cracker. Would have been a 9 from me (nitpick would be that the woman on top is merged with the shadow, but some may like that 'tension').

This really is a masterpiece! It's so stark, so wonderfully high in contrast and so powerful in it's composition too. I really like the sitting figure though the two walkers are of course integral too. Just a fantastic use of light and shadow, a fantastic eye for composition and beautifully executed too. I love it!
