I gave this an 8. Really liked the colors and use of shallow dof. Composition very good too. The detail and lines in the leaf upper left is very nice, difficult, but just like to have seen at least the same type of definition on the eyes &/or 'snout' of the frog.

Very cool, and not a mantis, so that's a plus.

one of my favorites this challenge -- like the use of dof - gives the impression the suject is emerging from the background

Very beautifully presented, I love the color and the DOF. Nice job. Texture of the leaf and the frog is very nice. Only thing I might have done is cropped out that brown joint in the lower right of the picture. Or at least tried to make the brown streak less noticable, especially with advanced editing. Overall, I loved it!

What's he got to be envious about? He's a great looking and now famous frog :-) 8

I'm not sure i really like the DOF.
It looks odd.

Very cool use of shallow DOF, great color to this. Well done!

way too shallow dof for me.

too out of focus. Sorry.

Ooh, neat. I love the DOF on the frog. I am slightly bothered by the fact that the upper leaf is also in focus though as it pulls my eye away from the subject. Good detail on the frog and nice catchlight in his eye.

Interesting approach but I would liked to have seen the whole frog (or at least more of it) in focus. The part of the leaf that is in focus (top) distracts from the subject.

superb shot! great bokeh and angle. Only thing I would change is the slight cropping out of the right side! other than that this is my red ribbon choice (9)

cute, but the dof seems too shallow to me. I would have liked to see more of the frog in focus.

Love the image. The DOF works very well. Only suggestion that comes to mind is to avoid the heavy shadow of the leaf but the blurring does minimize that. Gets a 8 from me. Good luck.
